This is a private memorial sail for family and close friends. The crew will ensure the experience is unhurried and handled with care from the moment you arrive.
JADA will sail to a designated area of the bay for the ceremony. There is no fixed order of service — the family leads, and the captain and crew will follow your pace.
JADA provides chilled water and soft drinks. You are welcome to bring food, flowers, or anything else meaningful to the occasion.
Dress comfortably. A light layer is recommended once underway. The bay in late June is warm. Depending on wind and tide conditions, we usually arrive at the Coast Guard approved scattering location within an hour of launch.
JADA was built in 1938 in Stockton, California — a Stephens Brothers yawl that passed through the hands of Errol Flynn and Marlon Brando before Carole Noska adopted her and brought her back to life on San Diego Bay nearly twenty years ago. She is a USCG-inspected 65-foot classic sailing yacht, fully crewed, and she has carried people through many of life's most meaningful moments.
You will not be rushed. The sail is yours for the full three hours.
