Boat Rental San Diego
JADA is a 65-foot classic sailing yawl built in 1938 — the only wooden classic yacht available for private charter on San Diego Bay. Private whole-boat charters from $1,950. Sunset sails from $75/person. Harbor Island departure.
Built in 1938 in Stockton, California. 65 feet of wooden sailing yacht — teak decks, brass fittings, tall rig, five Transpac races to Hawaii. Humphrey Bogart stepped aboard. So did Errol Flynn and John Wayne, back when she was moored at the Hollywood yacht club. She doesn't feel like a rental. She feels like an occasion.
San Diego Bay is one of the best sailing grounds in the world — protected, warm, reliably breezy, with the Coronado Bridge and downtown skyline as a permanent backdrop. JADA makes the most of it.
Full-boat charters include a licensed captain, one or two crew, the full use of the deck and cockpit, and a boat that has been doing this since Roosevelt was president. BYOB and BYOF — bring whatever you like to eat and drink, no corkage, no catering minimums. The crew runs the boat; the rest is yours.
1380 Harbor Island Drive, San Diego, CA 92101. Parking is validated for charter guests at the Sheraton Marina lot.
